A commitment to do better.

With the recent examples of racial prejudice, we are reminded that the fight against systemic racism is not a new fight. To meet this moment we know we need to remain active participants in constant reflection, education, and uncomfortable conversations.  We commit to holding ourselves accountable to the culture we seek to reflect and shape, in order to bridge the gap between the company we are right now and the company we aim to be.

We recognize the role that privilege has played in the success of our organization. As a business, we aim to act as supportive allies to the Black community. We will educate ourselves with the abundance of resources available to do so and we will work to bring more diversity and representation into our workplace. This does not end here. It’s an ongoing process that we commit to visit daily. We will listen and educate ourselves on how we can provide ongoing support.

We commit to a donation in support of the following organizations:

Minwaashin Lodge:
Minwaashin Lodge provides a range of programs and services to First Nations, Inuit and Métis women and children (regardless of status) who are survivors of domestic and other forms of violence, and who may also be suffering the effects of the residential school system.

Black Lives Matter Toronto:
BLM is a platform upon which Black communities across Toronto can actively dismantle all forms of anti-black racism, liberate Blackness, support Black healing, affirm black existence, and create freedom to love and self- determine.

Black Lives Matter.
