The Challenge
The Canadian Dental Association (CDA) sought to expand its existing web-based product, SecureSend, by developing a mobile application. The primary objective was to enable dental professionals to securely exchange patient documents, imagery, and information from their mobile devices.
The challenge included creating a seamless and user-friendly mobile experience while ensuring data security and integration with the existing SecureSend system.
The Solution
The project, which began in October 2021, involved the development of a native mobile app for both iOS and Android platforms. The app's features included user authentication, message viewing and sending, image capture and sharing using device cameras, attachment downloads, message searching through the existing API, and push notifications.
Throughout the project's lifecycle, the team demonstrated exceptional communication with the client, maintaining a steady course for development and showcased their adaptability by seamlessly transitioning to alternative tasks when necessary, all of which contributed to the efficient minimization of any potential delays.
To ensure a great user experience, a stringent Quality Assurance (QA) phase was conducted. This rigorous QA process resulted in the app experiencing minimal post-launch issues, leaving users with a seamless experience, setting a high standard for user satisfaction.
The Results
Iversoft successfully delivered a secure and user-friendly mobile app that extended the functionality of CDA SecureSend, meeting the client's objectives and enhancing the dental professionals' experience. Dental professionals can now securely share patient data and documents from their mobile devices, enhancing their flexibility and workflow efficiency. The project's challenges were overcome through effective communication and teamwork, resulting in a successful outcome and a satisfied client.
CDA expressed profound satisfaction with the final product, solidifying a long-term partnership, while the app's positive feedback from users not only bolstered its success but also prompted the initiation of plans for a French localization of the app.
